#Limoniamo 2024 is an Italian illustration contest organised by
Floricoltura Roncado.
The theme was "I LIMONI" (lemons) and its ambiguous meaning:
in Italian we use the word lemon to describe both
the citrus fruit and a French kiss.
My proposal is a celebration of Sicily, as the theme lead me to
its famous lemons instantly.
The fresh citrus becomes a container for a delicious granita.
The lovers, made by ice, are dressed with traditional Sicilian clothes.
For the colour palette and the decorations, they are inspired by La Maiolica Siciliana, which is traditional Sicilian pottery.
